Should have no problems. Only potential problem I could think of is the brake. If you are long distance or on a steep terrain, it is likely that the trailer has brakes. I tow over 7,000 pounds, the engine of my 2003 Trailblazer (the same). The trip was 900 miles and over several hills and right drift. The trailer I was towing increased hydraulic brakes. Hope this helps.
